THE CITY OF AUSTIN PROGRAMS
Austin Energy (AE, the community owned electric utility) offers comprehensive
programs to aid its residential customers and lower total electric power demand.
They are nationally known and widely imitated. The programs are under the
leadership of Jerrel Gustafson with the cooperation of Strand Brothers and are
utilized by many AE and Strand Brothers customers. In fact, Strand Brothers does
more work through these programs than any other registered contractor. To
contact AE for information, call:

Information is also available at the AE website,

limits, the operative requirement is that electric power must be purchased from
AE.
*All work must be performed by an approved contractor. The entire list of
approved contractors is available from AE or on
AustinEnergy.com (their
website). Strand Brothers is an approved contractor. Work performed by customers
is not eligible under this program.

*Mobile homes and manufactured homes are not eligible.
*Electric furnace systems must be replaced with heat pump systems.
