Humidity: Obtaining the Perfect Moisture Level

HumidityHumidity can be a pain, but even more importantly, it can have a big impact on the quality of the air within your house and your home comfort levels. The United States Environmental Protection Agency suggests families keep proper humidity levels, saying it is an easy way your home can achieve improved indoor air quality.

Luckily, you can control it.

The best thing to do is to install a whole-house humidifier and dehumidifier system. Humidity levels between 35% and 50% are the best for comfort, experts say. But if you are looking for an environment that doesn’t include microbes and that won’t damage wood, the humidity levels would ideally be kept between 45% and 50%. Humidity needs to be balanced appropriately to ensure your home stays at the right amount.
