Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both painting two of their work vans pink for the fight to end breast cancer.

During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help end breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans in addition to giving $10 for every furnace tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second year Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to fundraise for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air raised over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, General Manager of Fras-Air, and one of his workers both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey faced breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the amount of cases is actually declining each year, that still represents a significant number of families who are struggling with this disease, and that means there’s an immediate need for research and support.”

Chris Overton, the General Manager for Service Experts of Raleigh, echoed Schneider’s thoughts. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in North Carolina – for both females and males.”
